Subscriptions FAQ
General Instructions and Delivery
1. Click 'Subscriptions' from the top of any page.
2. Select 'Click to select publisher', choose at least 10 regular titles and click 'add to my subscription'. 3. Click 'Subscribe Now' and enter your e-mail address and select 'I am a new customer', then 'Continue'. 4. Choose 'Online Delivery' and 'Continue'. 5. Shipping: Choose weekly or bi-weekly. 6. Submit your name, address and credit card info as requested, then 'Continue'. 7. Payment: The cost of your comics plus shipping will be charged automatically to your credit card each time we ship your titles. Click here to view shipping rates. 8. You are authorizing Midtown Comics to charge your credit card for each shipment of the titles that you subscribe to. 9. For books with multiple covers, you will be shipped the book with the regular cover (ex., "Cover A"). Alternate covers may be purchased seperately and shipped with your next subscription delivery. You're done!
Yes! A $20.00 one-time refundable deposit is required in-store.

Click 'Subscribe Now' and enter your e-mail address and select 'I am a new customer', then 'Continue'. 4. Choose 'In-store Pick-up' and 'continue'. 5. Submit your name and other info as requested, click 'continue'. 6. Payment: Simply purchase your titles in-store when you pick them up at Midtown Comics. 7. A $20.00 one-time refundable deposit is required. Your subscription is activated when you pay the deposit in-store. Your deposit is refundable whenever you decide to cancel your subscription. 8. Please pick up your books weekly unless prior arrangements are made. It is not necessary to pick up your books on Wednesday! You can avoid the rush by picking them up any time after Wednesday. 9. Modifying your in-store subscription: add or delete any additional titles from the Subscription page after you've logged in. If you would like to add any titles that are not on our suggestion list, please e-mail your request to subscriptions@midtowncomics.com.
New comics are released every Wednesday.
For books with multiple covers, you will be shipped the book with the regular cover (ex., "Cover A"). Alternate covers may be purchased seperately and shipped with your next subscription delivery.
You can select any quantity desired for any title. For example, you may want 3 copies of Ultimate Spider-Man each month, and only one copy of Batman.
Yes! There is a minimum of 10 regular titles. If you choose fewer than 10, you will see an error message directing you to add more titles.
Shipping & Billing Info
New comics are released and shipped every Wednesday. An order will be shipped to you each Wednesday containing whichever of your titles are released in a given week, unless you choose 'Bi-Weekly Shipping'. In that case, shipment will be every other Wednesday.
Domestic: Shipping cost is determined by the dollar amount of your order (your subscription titles to be shipped this week), like all orders from midtowncomics.com. Click here to view shipping chart. International: Shipping cost is determined by weight, and shipping cost will be provided during checkout. There is no obligation if you do not approve of the shipping cost.We sure do! Here's a helpful hint: Orders of 10 comics or fewer can usually ship via Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope which arrives in only 7 to 10 days at a cost of only $14.45. (Please note that Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope is not available in all countries and cities).
Yes -- Domestic orders only! If your shipment for a given week is equal to or greater than $75.00, and you select Economy shipping, your shipping is free. Comics, books, magazines, graphic novels, and DVDs only. Any other items added to an order will incur a shipping charge based on the dollar amount of the order.
The cost of a given shipment depends on how many of your titles are released in a given week. Your cost is made up of the price of all the comics of your shipment minus our 15% online discount plus your shipping charge. The shipping charge is based on the dollar amount of your order. An invoice will be generated for you every Wednesday that will detail the exact cost of your order. This invoice is also e-mailed to you on Wednesday. FYI: This invoice is not generated until Wednesday because it is based on your selections released on Wednesday.
Your credit card will be charged on Monday and shipped that Wednesday (New Release day). Please note that we do not accept Paypal for subscriptions.
Modifying Orders and Personal Settings
From your Account page, click "View and Edit Subscription List." From this page you can add titles by selecting 'Click to select publisher,' checking off your desired titles, and clicking 'add to my subscription.' You can also change the quantity or remove any title. When you're done, click 'Update' to save your changes.
You can add extra items such as toys, back issues, graphic novels, or just about anything on our site to your subscription order by placing the item in your shopping cart, opening the cart, and clicking the little blue "plus" icon next to the item. Adding merchandise other than comics, books, graphic novels, magazines, or DVDs will eliminate free shipping on orders of $75.00 and above.
You may cancel your subscription at any time, with no obligation, as follows:
1. From 'My Account', click on 'View & Edit Subscription Settings'. 2. Then click on 'Suspend My Subscription'. You will no longer receive any titles, effective immediately (unless you notify us otherwise). Note: Your settings are always saved. So if you wish to reactivate your subscription, you can simply click on 'Reactivate My Subscription' from 'My Account' page. 3. PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL SUBSCRIPTION CANCELLATION; THEY MUST BE DONE ONLINE ONCE YOU LOGIN. 4. DEADLINE FOR SUSPENDING YOUR SUBSCRIPTION: You must suspend your subscription by Monday, 7:00AM in order to avoid a shipment for this week.
Log in and click on 'My Account', 'My Account Settings': from there you can change any of the following:
Password, communication preferences, and add additional addresses (work address, etc.).
