In the nightmarish world of Mega-City One, a majority of the citizens are unemployed. Boredom drives many of these people to invest their time in a variety of hobbies, including eating. As a result, a new subculture of gluttonous gargantuans have emerged. Nicknamed 'fatties' by the other citizens, these blubbery boys and girls compete in the Intercity Eating Championships to be the biggest and best citizens to ever use a bellywheel.
